Originalism Bootcamp at Georgetown’s Center for the Constitution

As shared today by Professor Barnett on the Volokh Conspiracy, Georgetown’s Center for the Constitution is now accepting applications for a one-week Originalism Bootcamp held this May.

If it is anything like the Center’s events held throughout the academic year for Georgetown Law students, then I can assure you that it will be very engaging. Although I have not yet personally attended the Bootcamp, I followed it closely on Twitter last summer and enviously watched tweets emerge about the incredible line-up of speakers.

This year, speakers/lectures (in alphabetical order) will be:

…Jack Balkin (Yale Law School), Will Baude (University of Chicago Law), Janice Rogers Brown (United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit), Thomas Colby (George Washington Law), Alan Gura (Gura & Possessky), Justice Tom Lee (Utah Supreme Court), historian Janet Malcolm (George Mason Law), Sai Prakash (University of Virginia Law), Michael Rappaport (University of San Diego School of Law), philosopher Scott Soames (University of Southern California), Judge Diane Sykes (United States Court of Appeals for 7th Circuit)

If you have an interest in applying, you should jump on that now, as applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The deadline to apply is February 15, 2017 – more information can be found here and on the brochure.

To further entice you, check out tweets from last year:

Now go forth and apply, faithful blog readers!
